Note: While this data comes directly from USA Cycling, it is not an official USA Cycling publication, and may be out of date. Review USA Cycling’s documentation first: read their “How do race category upgrades work?” FAQ, the Category Upgrades page and Policy VIII: Rider Category Upgrading. USA Cycling category upgrades are not automatically processed. They must be applied for by the rider themselves – or in the case of “mandatory” upgrade criteria being met – can be requested by race directors or officials.
